You had me at Marshmallow… 5 NYX Cosmetics Spring launches to try.

Hello 2021! I haven’t posted in an embarrassingly long time. I’m not even great at writing, but one thing I’m good at is being a good BFF and sister and sharing new products I’ve tried with my people!

I got sent a few of NYX Cosmetics new products for Spring 2021 to try and I thought I’d tell y’all about them.

The first thing I tried was a new primer called The Marsh Mellow Primer. ($17) It says it’s a 10-in-1 multitasking primer infused with marshmallow root extract for a smooth complexion. It’s cute and smells amazing and can be worn alone or under foundation. I really enjoy it. I feel it almost calms and cools the skin too. There is also an optional cute little marshmallow sponge you can get to go with it for $9. Definitely a primer that gives me a smother complexion.

The next 2 products I tried were in the brow department. I already use NYX Micro Brow Pencil and have tried and enjoyed others from them over the years so I was very excited about these.

First is the Lift and Snatch Brow Tint Pen. ($11) Which says it’s an instant brow lift in a flexible pen. Micro hair like strokes. Up to 16hr hold. I really like it and feel like it’s almost a water color consistency very natural looking and easy to work with. I’m in the color taupe.

And to top that I used The Brow Glue ($8) which says brush and style brows for up to 16hr hold as well. I love the way this works! Not to aggressive. Doesn’t get crusty or flaky and make my blonde brows look frosted after it dries. This one my end up going in my kit since it’s universal.

And finally I topped off the look with one of my two new Shine Loud liquid lip colors. ($11.50) The say zero color transfer and that they are a high shine lip color with up to 16hr wear. I agree with the claims on these. I love the topper because it feels like a lip oil almost rather than a sticky gloss. I wouldn’t wear them alone without the topper, they work better and are meant to be worn in conjunction.

I enjoyed all of these new launches. I shop Walgreens and Target when I’m looking for NYX but you can also find them online.

“This ain’t no fairy tale, it’s REAL LIFE.”

Is this real life!!?? I sure hope so! 😉

Words cannot explain how amazing the last couple of months have been for me! Although I did get off track a little with my monthly recaps, it was for good cause. I have had some of the best jobs lately and I’m still on cloud 9 from them! June was kicked off with CMA fest and I got to attend the CMT Awards!imageI got to work a week with House Hunters which was cool. I love working on shows I’m already a fan of! Some very cool photoshoots happened in the last couple months, two with my favorite Nashville Fashion Photographer: Antebellum Photography.

These are from our 60s-70s inspired “Wild Flower” shoot.

I also got to do Wardrobe, and Hair & Makeup on probably my most fun project to date! imageCountry star, Jake Owen’s, music video to his latest single “Real Life”. It was a dream project and a dream cast/crew. We filmed in tiny Pegram, TN at Finches Country Store and finished the day with a crazy party at The Waffle House!

And finally one of my ongoing gigs: The Bachelor/Bachelorette on ABC heldimage it’s Nashville Casting Call last week @ Honky Tonk Central… Always cool to be there working with what we like to call ” The Dream Team!”

Stayed tuned for more great projects which are on the books! ☺️

It’s Bridal Season! April Recap.

Airbrushing & Updos is what my April consisted of! ☺️ It’s now Bridal Season so last month was full of Bridal Hair & Makeup Trials and Engagement Photo Sessions. I love hearing each brides proposal story, and all the details they are planning for their wedding. I love weddings and don’t think I could ever get sick of them! It’s fun to get to be a part of the Bridal industry for half my year.

I’ve been super busy traveling and working on a TV show this past month as well so I am a little late on my recap! Ive already started May off with some AWESOME stuff that I can’t wait to share…

March was good to me. Wardrobe News!

This month did not disappoint! I started off the first week getting the opportunity to work an amazing job, I was booked as the Wardrobe Stylist for a comercial campaign by Healthier Tennessee which is airing now. That was super cool which brings me to my WARDROBE NEWS. Since I have now styled many photoshoots, assisted wardrobe on music videos and a web series, worked in the wardrobe department on a feature film, and worked as the wardrobe stylist for a commercial I am going to be adding Wardrobe to my Makeup + Hair services! I’m super excited so look for those updates soon.

image I also got to do some fun makeovers with Mineral Fusion and Whole Foods during their spring beauty show! One of the other highlights of my month was an absolutely beautiful styled photoshoot with Antebellum Photography at the gorgeous Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Bellemede, TN.

The theme of the lovely shoot was “Secret Garden” and it was a perfect project to segue into spring!

We are heading full steam ahead into Bridal Season, and I am one of the Artists with The Knot Award winning bridal company Eye Do Makeup and Hair, LLC. So that and some other exciting gigs I have coming up are going to be keeping me a busy girl!

2015 is already delivering bigger and better!

I feel like January just zipped by! That’s because I have stayed so busy with great work. I got to go to Los Angeles for Imats! (international makeup artist trade show). I have had some great photo shoots! My faves were a Prom Psa campaign for Centerstone and Who You Want to Be, and an Edwardian Editorial shoot titled Love Lost! Also so excited that I got to be the Hair and Makeup Artist for Britt Nicole’s new music video. I was so honored to be a part of all of these great projects, I cannot wait till they are released and can’t wait to see what next month brings!!

“The most reasonable response is to be THANKFUL.”
